This time I want to talk about my experience of suffering from "cellulitis". This disease is an accident for me. The disease originated from a small transparent plastic box placed next to the desk.
Symptoms of infection with "Cellulitis"
There are many articles on the internet explaining the symptoms, treatment and prevention methods of "cellulitis". I won't bother to explain it in details. I will just use examples to show you how this disease occurs and what happens after it occurs. The results after the occurrence, the hospitalization process, the wound washing process and the treatment will be followed.
It took a total of 51 days from the onset of the disease to hospitalization and wound healing. During this period, there were 17 days of sick leave prescribed by the doctor.

Cause of accident
The reason is that there are some plastic boxes placed on the floor at home for storage. There are some sharp edges on the lids of these plastic boxes. When the calf accidentally touches it, the skin will be scratched.
Since these sharp edges are very small, they may not cut through the skin immediately. I actually know that I often bump into that plastic box, but I have never been injured, so I didn't care about it.
Sharp edges on the plastic box
One day, I accidentally touched the plastic box again. There was no scar or pain at that time, so I ignored it. When I was taking a shower, I felt a sting from the soapy water on my calf. I looked at it but saw no scars, so I ignored it.
The next morning, when I was about to put on socks and go out to work, I saw a long red mark on my calf. I recalled the pain in the shower. It must have been injured somehow last night, but I couldn't see the obvious wound and it didn't hurt. I ignored it and went to work.
I had dinner with the supplier in the evening. They brought a bottle of white wine out to drink with me and I ate a lot of shrimp.
Long red marks on calves in the morning
When I went home in the evening, I found a red and swollen area on the back of my right calf, with stinging pain on the surface and red spots on the bottom layer of the skin. The surface of the skin became uneven and a bit hard. Even applying mosquito ointment did not improve it.
I never felt any discomfort in my body. Except for pressing the red and swollen parts with my hands, I usually have no pain, no fever or any other adverse sensations.
At night, I noticed a red and swollen patch on the back of my right calf.
Bacteria had entered the bottom layer of the skin
In fact, at this moment, the bacteria had entered the bottom layer of the skin and infected the cellulite tissue, causing redness, swelling and stinging. "Cellulitis" had begun to break out under the skin, but I was still unaware of it.
I suspected a Staphylococcus aureus infection because Staphylococcus aureus can cause inflammation and pus.
(I later discovered that after getting cellulitis, I couldn’t drink alcohol, as it would aggravate the wound. I also ate a lot of shrimp, which was even more harmful.)
I was worried that I was infected with flesh-eating bacteria, but people infected with flesh-eating bacteria usually don't survive more than a day or two, but I lived a day easily, so it seemed that I wasn't infected with flesh-eating bacteria.
The second day after the incident
I had a stinging pain on the back of my calf all day long. When I got home from work, I found that the redness and swelling were more serious than yesterday, the color had become darker and bruised, and there were blisters on it, which was shocking.
I wanted to wait until tomorrow to see the doctor, but I was afraid that I might be infected with some bad bacteria or flesh-eating bacteria, so I immediately went to see the doctor in the middle of the night.
The doctor said it was just a common skin inflammation and I needed to take antibiotics Amoxycillin trihydrate 250mg for five days, take 3 tablets a day and apply ointment Neomycin Cream. It will be fine. The doctor said it was an infection caused by an insect bite or abrasion.

The third day after the incident
Despite applying ointments and medicines, the blisters on my feet have begun to expand and appear. There are 15 small blisters in total. Although the pain has eased, things don't seem to be getting better.
The fourth day after the incident
The redness and swelling in the calf still did not subside, and the small blisters gradually became larger and gathered in the middle. The pain remained. Fortunately, the redness and swelling did not expand.
I found that the scars were like horizontal stripes, which closely matched the plastic box placed next to the chair. I believe that the skin of the calf was slightly cut several times when getting in and out of the chair. After being infected by bacteria, it finally started to become inflamed.
By evening, the condition seemed to be uncontrolled. The redness and swelling spread to the front of the calf, and two blisters were forming on the outside of the calf. It felt very painful to press the blisters with my hands. I saw something was wrong and decided to go to Union Hospital tomorrow to have a look.
The fifth day after the incident
Doctors confirmed it was not flesh-eating bacteria. When he saw that I had a fever of 37.4 degrees Celsius, he determined that "bacteria had entered the bloodstream."
He said that the antibiotics prescribed by the previous doctor were correct, but 375mg was too weak and could not kill the bacteria.
The doctor said that it had been five days since the incident, and the time for medication had passed, it require four days of hospitalization. It can only be treated with antibiotics.
Due to the high cost of hospital admission at Union Hospital, I decided to seek refuge at North District Hospital, so I immediately went home and picked up all the necessary equipment, including undershirts and pants, slippers, toilet paper, facial towels, toothbrushes, water cups, disinfectant supplies, masks, and biscuits. Snacks, water, chargers, charging cables, power bank, waste plastic bags, small amount of cash, etc.
At 4:30 pm, I arrived at the North District Hospital triage station and had my blood pressure measured. Up to 185, 203. The nurse thought my blood pressure was too high and wanted to start taking antihypertensive medication. I haven't taken my blood pressure for a long time, so I don't know if it's high or not. (It was later discovered that the blood pressure increased because of fear of going to the hospital. The normal value is below 130.)
The doctor looked at the calf and said nothing. All he asked was if I had ever been to a seafood market or had my feet scratched. Since flesh-eating bacteria were most likely present in the seafood market, I responded that I had never been to the seafood market. Then the doctor asked me to take an X-ray and gave me an injection.

I went to the X-ray room and took three pictures of my right foot and another picture of my lungs. Later the nurse said I had to stay in the orthopedics department...
I didn't expect that such a small scrape on my calf would put me in the hospital.
After waiting at the door of the emergency room for 45 minutes, my feet stung again. It must be swollen blisters. After waiting for a while, we finally arrived in the room. An hour later, the nurse gave me two painkillers and the pain in my foot began to subside.
Draw a big circle to highlight the infected area
At 8:00 pm, the male nurse first drew a circle on the red and swollen part of my calf with a black tip pen. He said this was to make it easier to see the extent of the infection, and anyone showing such symptoms should have a black line drawn. If the redness goes beyond the black line, it means the infection has spread further and I tell them to pay attention.
The male nurse inserted a needle into my right hand and drew a tube of blood. I'm scared. This was the first time in my life that I had my blood drawn.
After that, I injected the first antibiotic and a tube of water. The syringe was very big... It turns out that the blood vessels can withstand so much water flowing back and forth. It felt very painful and hard to have a large amount of water rush into the blood vessels, but the fever subsided quickly.
At 9:50 pm, the male nurse came to inject the second antibiotic. After the injection, some parts of the calf began to turn dark black, as if Voldemort in the body had been awakened. I was really worried because I had never seen my body turn gray before.
At 11:30 pm, a male nurse came to inject the third antibiotic. The darkness on the surface of the calf has disappeared, but the appearance remains the same. The redness and swelling did not expand further. When I press the red and swollen area with my hands, it feels softer and no longer as tight as before. It still hurts a little when I press hard, but it feels better.
Sixth day after the incident
I don’t have a fever in the morning, but my blood pressure is still a little high. The blisters on my legs have subsided slightly, but the redness seems to have spread beyond the black line. The area where the tenderness subsided last night has returned to a little tenderness this morning.
At 7:52 in the morning, the male nurse injected the fourth antibiotic. The first injection was very painful. He said it should be injected three times a day, but he took three injections last night. The blood vessels in my hands and wrists were so painful.
At 8:15 a.m., eat macaroni with garlic and vegetables.
In the morning, a female doctor came to check the ward. She is about 20 or 30 years old. She is my attending doctor. From admission to discharge to follow-up consultation, she is responsible for everything. She usually appears once in the morning and once in the evening. After the condition was under control, she did not appear at night. She won't show up at noon and may be attending a specialist clinic.
She looked at my red and swollen feet and understood my condition. She told me: "Give you inject some medicine first and see how it works." I guess she meant, "If it doesn't work, I will scrape your bones to detoxify...". She thought that since she only saw blisters but no pus, the problem was not serious.
Two head nurses in white came to look at the report placed at the end of the bed. One thought the redness and swelling had subsided a bit, and the other thought it was about the same. The head nurse told me, "Antibiotics don't take effect that quickly. It usually takes three to seven days."
I feel that the red and swollen area is still expanding, and the blisters are becoming more and more swollen, turning from transparent to purulent color. They don't seem to be getting better at all.
I haven't seen any significant effects from the antibiotics so far, so I'm a little concerned. I still have to stay in the hospital for a few days.
Fortunately, this hospital has attentive greetings, and medical staff often come to inspect the ward. It feels safe, and there is an emergency switch next to the bed to call the medical staff outside the room if something happens.
At 3:25 pm, the nurse came to inject the fifth antibiotic. When the medicine rushed in, the blood vessels in my wrist hurt.
I didn't go out to eat. The dinner pictured below is quite delicious. The portion size was enough for me, but not enough for the big guy next to me.
At 11:19 pm, the nurse came to inject me with the sixth antibiotic.
I spent my first night in the hospital. I stayed in a large room that could accommodate eight people. I have a TV in my room, so people in the next room come over and watch it. There is a table beside each of our beds with a pot of water, a large paper cup and a small paper cup. Large paper cups are used to hold water, and small paper cups are used to hold pills. The nurse puts the medication into a small paper cup when dispensing it. There is also a file recording the condition.
A patient was admitted to hospital at midnight today. In order to welcome this alien visitor, the lights outside the room were brightly lit and the noise was endless.
The most difficult thing in the hospital is inserting needles in the right hand. Every time I take antibiotics it hurts.
When the blister got bigger, I told the nurse and he helped me wrap it in gauze.
I was surprised to be assigned to Orthopedics. I discovered that Northside Hospital didn't have a dermatology department, and neither did Prince of Wales Hospital. It turns out that many public hospitals in Hong Kong do not have dermatology departments, and patients with skin diseases have to wait three years to see a doctor.
There are only four public dermatologists in Hong Kong. They will go to various public hospitals to help, but not the North District Hospital. So this time I want to pray for blessings and hope that I will not encounter strange and complicated diseases, otherwise it will be very trouble.
The seventh day after the incident
Except for some noise last night, there were no doctors patrolling the ward, and there were not many nurses. The lights at the nurse's post were also turned off and the environment became calm again, so I slept until 6:30.
I stayed in the hospital for a day and a half, but the redness and swelling in my feet remained and there was no significant improvement. I doubt three days will be enough for it to recover.
I was woken up by the nurse at 7:00 in the morning. They gave me a hot towel to wash my face with, medicine and food. I take painkillers every day. My feet didn't hurt so I didn't eat, but my hands hurt.
The seventh dose of antibiotics was given at 7:30 in the morning.
The female doctor said that I could take leave and go home to rest, but I had to come back regularly for injections, three times a day. I was so happy. I have to go home and change clothes, take a shower, wash my hair, have a meal, and sleep comfortably.
After breakfast, I was discharged from the hospital and went home. The picture below is what it looked like after I removed the gauze at home. The blisters appear flat, but gradually condense into large blisters.
I was the only one who could go home in the orthopedic ward where I stayed. The others either had broken legs and had casts on them, or had broken knees. There were two of them who never left the bed. Only when I got closer did I know one of them. One has no legs and they all envy me that I can walk around. When I had time, I would go over and help them draw the curtains and let them do some private things. Gradually, I became familiar with them.
At 3:50 pm, I returned to the hospital for my eighth antibiotic treatment. As the blisters got bigger, I could no longer wear jeans. It hurt to rub the wound, so I changed into lightweight, loose-fitting sweatpants.
At 10:10 p.m., the ninth dose of antibiotics was given. The male nurse said that the shot was actually given at 11 o'clock. It can be given one hour earlier or later, but not later than 12 o'clock, otherwise it will not be entered into the computer. If the injection is given early, the patient can go to bed early and does not have to sit still and wait. But the pain from the needle on my right hand became more and more painful, and I would wake up from the pain even if I fell asleep, so I had to put my hand outside the quilt.
Eighth day after the incident
At 7:00 am I took my tenth dose of antibiotics. In the morning, the red and swollen areas around the blisters turn gray, and the bacteria appear to be fighting back or causing tissue necrosis. Very scary.
The female doctor arrived with another male doctor who seemed to be a superior. She explained my condition to the male doctor in English, but I couldn't understand what she was saying. This male doctor seemed to be in his twenties or thirties. Normally when a big doctor comes, he would just look away and leave without paying much attention to my condition. But today this male doctor came very close to visit the wound. He told the female doctor to puncture the blister.
Eat a bowl of porridge at 8:00 in the morning.
At 9:30 in the morning, a nurse in a dark pink shirt and a nurse in a striped shirt came over with some tools and planned to operate on my calf. Their goal is to cut off the "grey areas of skin"! !
I felt like they were cutting my flesh with scissors. They cut for several minutes and then vigorously wiped the surface of the wound with a cloth to remove the gray matter. This process is very painful. I have to endure the pain and control my lame leg to prevent it from suddenly kicking them.
After they were done, they put a large piece of tape over the wound and the condition of the wound was no longer visible.
At 3:10 pm, the 11th antibiotic was given.
At 11:19 pm, the 12th antibiotic was given.
The ninth day after the incident
At 7:10 in the morning, I took the 13th antibiotic. There was intermittent pain in the wound on the calf, moisture was trapped in the tape, and blood oozed from the cotton.
The needle tip on my right hand feels better, but when I touch it, I feel pain again.
The hardest part of this incident is my right hand.
The female doctor said that cutting away the blisters was indeed effective. Now my condition is getting better. She said I could be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days.
Today, a male nurse in a green shirt helped me clean my wound. Oddly, when the antiseptic was applied to the wound, it didn't hurt, and the redness and swelling at the outermost edges began to fade. So I applied to be discharged from the hospital and have rest this morning and afternoon.
At 4:00 pm, the 14th dose of antibiotics was given.
At 11:00 pm, I took the 15th dose of antibiotics, and the redness and swelling on the outermost edge began to subside.
It turns out that the antibiotic the male nurse prescribed to me was Augmentin, maybe 1200 mg. I have two boxes of Augmentin tablets at home. If I had known that Augmentin worked, I would have just taken a few pills instead of going to the hospital.
The tenth day after the incident
At 7:30 in the morning, I took the 16th dose of antibiotics. It was like taking the medicine for five days. The redness and swelling on the outermost edge subsided significantly, and the wound was no longer painful when pressed with my hand.
At 4:00pm, the 17th antibiotic was given.
Male nurse thought that the needle in my right hand was something called a "hepblock". After six days of use, it started to get a little clogged, so he pulled it out.
It turns out that the inside of the hepblock is just a transparent hose, not a steel needle. I didn't expect my wrist to be so uncomfortable. Even after it was pulled out, the wound on my hand was still very painful and I couldn't straighten my fingers. The inside of my hand seems to be swollen.
Male nurse told me not to rub or massage the wound and to wait for it to heal naturally because the blood vessels under the wound are not very strong and if I rub it too hard, the wound will burst and blood will spurt out. Like spider silk, very scary.
The male nurse came over and asked to check on my injuries. He thinks the redness and swelling are still there and more antibiotics are needed, so tonight he will have to insert a new heparin block into my hand. Thoughts: "Oh, I'm scared... I need another shot! I thought the pain would stop once I endured it and I would have to keep taking the shot."
At 11:00 pm, male nurse tried to insert a new needle into my wrist. He inserted it for ten minutes, but half of the needle was still hanging out. Then he pushed the needle in hard, and it hurt again and again. He tried inserting the needle twice and then gave up. He had to wait for the blood drawing nurse to come and help.
Half an hour later, the nurse who were responsible for drawing blood came over. They were all experts. She immediately found the blood vessel. The injection of the 18th antibiotic was very smooth and I didn't feel it at all. I was surprised that the previous injections were so painful.
The eleventh day after the incident
At 8:00 am I took my 19th dose of antibiotics. This time I felt the water coming in and I felt a tight, painful sensation.
Today, a doctor in a white robe came to the ward with a group of student nurses to inspect. He sent two female interns to clean my wounds. After the doctor taught them how to clean the wound, he let them do it.
The intern said to me: "Uncle, I will help you wash your wound." She also used her mobile phone to take pictures of the wound. The attitude of the staff here is really very good.
I saw that the wound had a dirty black edge, like a crater mountain or a stone pit in the demon world, and it looked very ugly. If I hadn't been careless, I wouldn't have ended up like this. I didn't want to see this wound, but it was on my body and I had no choice but to accept it.
Because the wound is so ugly and bloody, according to Google policy, I cannot post any scary photos further, sorry.
The patient next to me reminded me to be careful about diabetes because wounds are difficult to heal. The female doctor told me that my blood sugar index was on the high side and asked me to go to a general clinic for a review after I was discharged.
After the female doctor looked at the wound, she decided to discharge me in the afternoon. She said that after discharge, I would go to the Jockey Club Clinic regularly to follow up on wound cleaning and blood sugar levels.
When I was discharged from the hospital, I paid HK$720 for hospitalization, included HK$120 for daily hospitalization fee, HK$180 for emergency room consultation, and it also included six 1g tablets of Augmentin for three days and painkillers for six days. I think it was extremely value for money. 19 dose of antibiotic injections and three meals a day are free.
The doctor gave me a sick leave, which included ten days of sick leave for hospitalization and one week of sick leave to recuperate and wash the wound. The wound was still painful and the tape was stuck on it, making it difficult to move around during work. Moreover, the wound was about an inch in diameter, and the wound was not buried. , I am afraid that it will be troublesome if he gets infected again.
Although North District Hospital is smaller, the decoration and environment of the wards are the same as those of Prince of Wales Hospital, and the equipment is kept new and clean. The hospital has a sparse flow of people. Except for the emergency room, which is crowded, the rest of the hospital is very deserted. There are many vacant beds and there are no beds in the corridors. On the contrary, many people in the Prince of Wales Hospital sleep in the corridors.
The toilet, toilet seat, and floor have all been kept extremely clean for a long time. I feel that the cleaning service is first-class, which makes me very comfortable.
In the morning the nurse always said good morning, was kind and friendly, all requests were followed up and nothing was overlooked or omitted. I feel that the team communicates closely and has sufficient manpower. There has never been a situation where medical care cannot be found.
The twelfth day after the incident
I slept well today. I really miss the pillows and air-conditioning at home, and the warm feeling.
In the afternoon, I went to Fanling Health Center for the first time to clean my wound. I discovered that this was actually the Jockey Club Clinic. There are many machines on site to measure blood pressure, height and weight, which can be used free of charge.
After waiting for more than an hour, I saw the condition of the wound for the first time. It looked like a dark red lake, with a layer of gray skin floating on the edge of the lake like a beach. The lake seemed dry, with a little stick gauze. On the contrary, there were two places outside the lake that looked like deep pits, but they seemed to have been buried and no blood was visible.
The nurse opened a pack of wound cleaning kits. There was a tablecloth inside. After opening, there was a plastic pocket inside. There were two or three tools in the pocket, including plastic tip clips and a pile of thin and old cotton. Then the nurse took a bottle of transparent potion and poured it on the cotton, then clamped the cotton ball and applied it once or twice on the wound. After applying a little and then discard. Then she replaced it with a new one and wiped a little more on it, and then discard again. After wiping, cover the wound with a very porous, slightly hard and wet "anti-inflammatory gauze", then cover it with a large cotton cloth, and secure it with tape on all four sides of the cotton cloth.
Thirteenth day after the incident
I'm going to wash the wound. The condition of the wound today is similar to yesterday. It was still a deep red lake with a deep pit next to it.
The fourteenth day after the incident
I went to Fanling Health Center early in the morning. The doctor saw the condition of the wound on my foot and prescribed another antibiotic called Ciprofloxacin. He said that this medicine is specifically designed to treat skin structure infections.
I originally made an appointment to wash the wound in the afternoon, but the doctor was willing to write me a note to wash the wound immediately, so I met a "Wound management nurse". She asked me if any colleagues had seen it before, and I told them that I was not sure. She said: "It doesn't matter, because we will definitely introduce ourselves."
She was very frightened when she saw a wound. She said she had never seen such an exaggeration. She said it would not heal if she continued to wash it off. She suggested that I use an Atrauman Ag "Silver Ion Dressing", a gray-silver dressing. Adhesive fabric, she said, can help kill bacteria by applying it to the wound, and she hopes the situation can improve.
The fifteenth day after the incident
My disease looks like "cellulitis" on the surface, but a doctor's article said that cellulitis does not cause blisters. What causes blisters is "necrotizing fasciitis," which is a type of flesh-eating bacteria. Flesh-eating bacteria will first eat through the fat layer, causing the muscles to appear gray. If there is no surgical debridement, the bacteria will invade the fascia, causing fascial muscle necrosis and blackening.
The wound from someone else's blister was pink, but my wound was deep red. Although the redness and swelling were receding, I was still worried that the affected area was infected, so I used a silver ion dressing to help, hoping to speed up the recovery of the wound.
The wound is still hurting today. I went to clean the wound in the afternoon. I really want to know whether this silver ion dressing and the new antibiotic "ciprofloxacin" are of any use. It turns out that with this dressing and the nurse's furious cleaning of the wound yesterday, I finally saw the wound has significant improvement.
The surrounding gray skin has disappeared, turning into clear, healthy, curly skin. The dark red lake surface turned into light red and bright red, and it felt like the lake surface was beginning to escape the crisis. The black wound began to shrink, but the blisters near the center were still gray-white and seemed to have bacteria attached to them.
The girl said that this piece of silver dressing costs a few hundred Hong Kong dollar a piece at the private clinic. She thought it would be good luck for me to pick it up. I also feel that I am very lucky to have met the nurse in the wound management department, otherwise it would be really troublesome.
The sixteenth day after the incident
I washed the wound for the fifth time in the morning. The condition of the wound seemed to have not improved at all today. There was still a lake on the surface, and there was some white ointment that I had never seen before. (The piece of gauze that looks like a metal mesh in the picture is Atrauman Ag "Silver Ion Dressing")
Seventeenth day after the incident
I went to the Sheung Shui Jockey Club Clinic for the first time in the morning to have my wounds cleaned. The decoration here is very old and the place is narrow and small.
My feet are still sore this morning but seem to be getting better. The girl said that the black part of the wound was concave, but good skin should be flat. Darkness is bad skin cells, it will be better if it is not tanned. The black can be wiped away, but it must be soft first.
The eighteenth day after the incident
The wound still hurts. I opened it and saw that the black spots around the wound had receded, leaving only two small black spots on the edge. The original black pit on the right side seemed to be filled with white liquid.
Nurse said that the top of the pit should not be allowed to resurface and be buried. It must come up from the bottom of the pit, otherwise the dirt at the bottom of the pit will be sealed and cannot come out. This is why the wound should be washed and decontaminated every day.
Nineteenth day after the incident
Today, I no longer feel any pain when walking. It has improved significantly and the wound is shrinking.
The twentieth day after the incident
There was blood oozing out of the wound, so I went to wash the wound again tonight. The last piece of silver dressing is used, but the wound is still sunken in some places.
Firstly, there is no upward growth, and secondly, the silver dressing cannot reach these places, so it may not have a bactericidal effect.
I tried to find the Wound management nurse and found out that she was in Fanling on Wednesday and showed up in Sheung Shui on Friday.
Twenty-one days after the incident
I went to the Sheung Shui Clinic and met the nurse from the wound management department. She told me that the big black things in the middle were necrotic dermis, and the thin ones around it were scorched skin. The nurse asked me if I could rip off those black stain. She said it would hurt a lot, and I said yes.
In this room, the nurse from the wound management department was the only one wearing a doctor's gown. She might have the role of a surgeon. She helped me remove the black stain on the wound. Sure enough, there were blisters in the middle part, and the white part was exposed all day long. The white and gray mesh-like dermis (should be the legendary honeycomb tissue), but there is no blood seeping out of it, looks like a piece of pork, which is very strange.
After the nurse in the wound management department finished her work, she asked another nurse to wash the wound, and then asked an intern to bandage it. I thought there would always be a patient for these young female interns to practice bandaging, so I sent me to do it today.
The twenty-third day after the incident
I went to wash the wound in the evening. The wound looked similar to the one on the 20th. The central part was white and red.
Twenty-fifth day after the incident
I went to wash the wound at night and met the nurse from before. She helped me tear off two pieces of transparent dead skin. The wound is still red, white and black today and has not changed much.
Thirty-second day after the incident
After finishing work, I went to wash the wound. Today, the wound area is about 12x5mm, it is light blood red, and the surrounding area seems to be shrinking. The nurse lifted up the gauze and saw a circle of beige-like pus under the anti-inflammatory gauze. There were still blood and water stains in the center of the gauze.
Thirty-seven days after the incident
I went to the North District Hospital for a follow-up consultation in the morning to see a female doctor. She said that the wound had shrunk and it would be cured if it became scorched later. She told me not to apply Chinese medicine.
After that, I arranged to wash the wound, and I met a senior female nurse. When she saw the wound, she felt sore and told me: "You must rub it hard until you see blood." I agreed to let her rub it hard.
In fact, it didn't hurt as much as the nurse from the wound department did. According to her, she took away one of the black burns. She said that if she didn't scrub hard, the dirt would not be washed away and it wouldn't be cured. She said: "When you see the wound again tomorrow, you will definitely feel amazing."
She was right, it was much better to wipe away the black dirt.
Forty-sixth day after the incident
The dermal part of the wound has finally grown to the point of being filled in. The nurse thought it had completely recovered when she first saw it. However, after she pressed it, she pointed out that the new flesh in the wound was still soft and not stiff. She thought I had to wait a little longer.
The star-shaped wound seen earlier has closed up and is sealed by a layer of yellow burnt that cannot be removed even if it is rubbed hard.
When I was washing the wound two days ago, nurse applied a transparent gel on the wound, saying it could improve the growth of bad flesh. I found that the wound still had some black spots under the flesh.
Forty-eight days after the incident
I went to wash the wound in the afternoon. The nurse said that the wound had healed and there was no need to come back again. There is still a little dark yellow burn on the wound, but it is not completely healed yet, so it still needs to be covered with gauze.
Fifty-one days after the incident
It has been a month and a half since I suffered the wound on my calf. The wound on my calf was finally unsealed today, and I can wash away the dead skin that looked like falling snow nearby.
I touched the pink part of the wound with my hand. It felt uneven and hard, which was not the condition of normal skin. Moreover, I felt nothing when I touched it. It seemed that the nerves had not grown and it was just a piece of new flesh.
Seventy-two days after the incident
The wound has almost completely recovered, but there are still some bumps and has not yet smoothed out.
The 100th day after the incident
The wound has smoothed back, but the color of the scar has not faded. It is said that this is caused by melanin in the skin.
Day 270 after the incident
The wound showed little change and the color of the scar did not fade.
The story comes to an end here. It seems that this baking seal will stay with me for the rest of my life, warning me to be careful in the future.
I have to thank the female doctor and all the medical staff for this. I was also lucky enough to meet the "wound management nurse".
Silver Ion Dressing (Atrauman Ag) is the most effective wound healing
In terms of wound treatment, the "Silver Ion Dressing" (Atrauman Ag) is the most effective, and I think it plays a decisive role in the wound treatment.
I like this "silver ion dressing" very much. It can effectively kill the stubborn black bacteria on the surface of the wound and can continue to exert antibacterial effects for seven days. But I have to wash the wound every other day. This dressing is discarded after one or two days, and it doesn't last for seven days at all.
